Children, Youth, and their families at St. Peter’s enjoy a wide array of opportunities to deepen their relationship with our Lord and one another. From 9:00—10:00 AM, Kindergarteners through Elementary, Middle, and High Schoolers participate in fun and meaningful classes centered on Godly Play, the Episcopal Children’s Curriculum (ECC), and the Catechism of the 1979 Book of Common Prayer.
Our youngest saints are always welcome to worship with their families on Sunday morning but, when desired, they may be brought to a safe, loving, and cheerful Nursery which is fully staffed. In that Nursery, infants and children younger than six years old learn about and experience the love of God with age-appropriate lessons, music, arts, and crafts.
St.Peter’s Youth have multiple opportunities to become involved in the life of their parish. The Acolyte program is designed to learn more about the liturgy of the Episcopal Church. We offer weekly Sunday School and annual fundraisers such as the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and the Yard Sale, and multiple summer camps.
The Café Class
In a relaxed and open atmosphere that attracts all ages from college graduates through senior citizens, the Café class enjoys presentations (by clergy or guest speakers) and/or conversations dealing with a wide variety of subjects: contemporary issues, book discussions, and Bible lessons. The primary purpose of the class is to establish and deepen relationships among long-standing and newer members.
